Thank you to everyone for coming out to Marlins Park on Saturday for Project LoMo day! It was really great to meet all of the project winners in person! If you weren’t able to attend or you want to find out more about the winners, here is an article from the Sun-Sentinel.

I also wanted to share with you a little bit of the thank you letter I received from Project LoMo winner, Dimitri
“I cannot begin to express what a great experience Project LoMo was for me. It is truly touching to know that other people feel that my cause is noteworthy and should receive the fantastic recognition you bestowed on me. I felt humbled to be surrounded by you as well as all the other finalists, knowing that you and they all want to make a great impact in this world to help others. Needless to say, my experience at the stadium was one in a million, and your staff/colleagues did a terrific job making it the best experience possible for all of us. It was really cool to get a totally different perspective of a massive stadium, as well as all of the incredible abilities of the athletes. That was awe-inspiring.
And of course, thank you for the incredibly generous, and thoughtful reward. It humbles me even more. I will certainly be using it purchase more musical instruments. My goal is to have instruments in every state, and I am a fifth of the way there. I wish you all the best as you continue on your journey as an athlete and a community activist for a cause that I believe in with all my heart.”
Thanks Dimitri and congratulations again to all of the winners! You are truly an inspiration to us all!
Thank you to everyone who participated in Project LoMo! There were so many amazing submissions that it was hard to narrow it down to 5 winners. Congratulations to Jennifer S., Joshua W., Connor G., Delilah L., and Dimitri G. for your outstanding projects! Special thanks to Sterling D. for her amazing fundraising efforts!
Tomorrow night, these five kids will be recognized at the game, throw the ceremonial first pitch, and present a check to the American Lung Association (ALA) on behalf of Project LoMo for over $40,000!
If you want to come and see the action and help the cause, tickets are still available! See you tomorrow night!
The Project LoMo contest finished yesterday and I want to thank everyone that submitted projects, great turnout! There are some really inspiring stories and projects that I have read over the past few months. I will continue to review all projects and will be announcing the lucky winners within the next couple weeks. I hope to see everyone at Project LoMo Day at the Miami Marlins Stadium on Saturday, August 24th. Stay tuned…
